UK Boilers have recently been commissioned to build mini packaged Plant Rooms in 10-foot shipping container units. This was a departure from our usual style of 20-foot units. We have typically put our hot water boilers or Steamers in 20-foot containers. Our client required a smaller footprint. Whilst different to our usual Shipping Container Packaged Plant Rooms it was not an issue for our engineers to produce this variant.

We have had to be creative with our design. We needed to fit two 300kw ICI Caldaie shell and tube-style boilers in a much smaller space. The mini packaged plantrooms boiler units are gas-fed from a common header. These could just as easily been put on oil if required. The gas burners we choose are the always high-quality FBR Gas burners.

Bespoke

This particular Mini Packaged Plant Room was equpped with a control panel, chequerplate flooring and personell door (see picture).

We build to your specification. As mentioned previosly our client required this unit to be gas-fired. So not only did we need to fit 600kw of shell and tube boiler in a ten foot container, we also had to fit the gas pipe plus flow and return water pipework.

Our other recent bespoke projects have been two seperate orders for Packaged Steam Boilers. There were housed in 20-foot containers. One of the Steamers required a dual fuel biomethane and oil boiler. When these were complete it was time to move on to the Mini Packaged Plant Rooms. We are currently producing a mixture of shell and tube, steam and condensing packaged plant rooms. A number of customers have decided to refurbish thier current plant rooms and instead have packaged outside. This may be for cost reasons or even an asbestos issue.
